General Loan Program Requirements
Veterans and active duty servicemembers must have a valid Certificate of Eligibility (COE) obtained from VA or from a lender using the Automated Certificate of Eligibility (ACE) program. If you need to obtain your COE, download VA Form 26-1880, complete it and mail it (with your proof of service) to one of the eligibility centers or contact a lender about obtaining your COE.
Loan Program Description
VA loan guarantees are made to servicemembers, veterans, reservists and unmarried surviving spouses for the purchase of homes, condominiums and manufactured homes for the veterans personal occupancy. Veterans may also obtain VA refinancing loans. VA guarantees a percentage of the loan which permits the veteran to obtain a mortgage with no down payment at a competitive interest rate.

Market Interest Rate, with an Upfront "Funding Fee" and no Pre-payment penalties. Maximum Loan Length 30 years. No Maximum Loan Amount. Monthly Payment Frequency.

Contact a lender to discuss qualifying for the VA loan. The lender will make sure you meet basic program requirements, including the following:
